And because if I am quiet enough I can hear the call to prayer.
Every morning I let that song wash over me.
I always think how beautiful
And lately why so sad.

Because when I moved here someone mentioned that I’d have to listen to

Because white supremism
Because the state of the world
Because genocide
Because injustice
Because silence

(apparently never again is now.)

There is still a people out there who believe

despite being persecuted for it daily.
