As human beings we continually confronted by seemingly opposing realities and it is confusing and difficult, and at times overwhelming:
power and frailty / birth and death / brokenness and beauty / strength and vulnerability / Us and Them / Mine and Yours
And in a world that is becoming increasingly polarized we have forgotten that none of these things are mutually exclusive.
We have also forgotten that despite our religion or politics or worldviews we are all far more similar than we are different. And it is our inherent humanity, our humanness itself, rather than the side of the fence on which we stand, that should be held with the highest regard.

‘An individual has not started living until he/she can rise above the narrow confines of his/her individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.” Martin Luther King
