A pair of jeans that always fit / A little relief on the interest rates / Clarity on my career choices – reassurance that I chose well / A one way ticket to 2019 / A 2020-do-over / Forgiveness for the unforgivable / The ability to forgive myself / A good future for my nieces and nephews / Calorie-free croissants / A little cabin in the mountain / With a wood-burning stove and a view of the Atlantic / Maybe a man to share it with / Maybe not / Maybe a border collie instead / For my girl friends to know that they are unmatchable / For them each to find their soulmates / For mine to be a good kisser / For a lifetime of meaningful conversation / and great sex (are you allowed to ask God for this) / For the people who matter to care more about the planet / For a softer shell / be able to fly – just for one day (I’ve always preferred feeling the ground beneath my feet) / To age gracefully / Preferably with a flatter stomach / Perhaps for the wilderness that is my hair to take it down a notch / An extra hour in each day – just for sitting and staring / For a guarantee that I will always feel awe / For more patience / For unending kindness / For an infinite passion for this life / The ability always see the best in people / Wisdom to not take the worst personally
